AnimeCon UK Is Coming to London in 2024

AnimeCon UK is gearing up for its first London event on February 3-4, 2024. The event will be held at the large 15000-capacity Drumsheds and marks the first non-music event held there. AnimeCon partners with the mental and suicide prevention charity Campaign Against Living Miserably, alongside Crunchyroll, Waterstones, Anime Chill, Fandom, and more.

Special guests at AnimeCon include voice actors:

  • Keith Silverstein (Genshin Impact, Overwatch 2)
  • Cristina Vee (Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, Hunter x Hunter)
  • Brianna Knickerbocker (Genshin Impact, Fire Emblem Heroes)
  • Nazeeh Tarsha (Genshin Impact, Pokemon Twilight Wings)
  • Joe Zieja (Genshin Impact, Fire Emblem Heroes)

Fans can expect the Artists Alley, which will feature over 200 exhibitors, a pop-up market, exclusive screenings, parties, panels, karaoke, silent disco, cosplayers, and the London anime-themed restaurant Uzumaki. Special guest VTubers and cosplayers will be announced at a later date. On the second day of AnimeCon London, an anime-themed afterparty headlined by anime DJ Level Up Leroy will take place. Tickets for the event, teased as “The UK’s largest Anime and Manga Expo,” start at £15 and are available here. AnimeCon UK emphasizes its accessibility support, with “step-free access from Meridian Water station via a lift and is served by low-floor TFL bus services with dedicated wheelchair spaces and ramps. The venue has mobile accessible toilets outside the venue and accessible toilets on levels 0 and 1. They also have a fully trained medical team on hand at every event.

AnimeCon’s Clive Norgaard Morton goes further into the importance of safe and inclusive spaces: “Creating a safe space for attendees to enjoy the event and to be free to be themselves is at the heart of what AnimeCon is all about. It’s of paramount importance to the event organisers that people have the facilities they need to be able to comfortably enjoy their day.” Their Code of Conduct and Visitor Protection Guide is available under the contact section of their website.
